Town of Mount Hope

Town Clerk

The Town Clerk is an elected official who serves as the Chief Records Keeper of Town government, managing and maintaining official Town records.

The Town Clerk attends all Town Board meetings to record and transcribe the actions taken by the Board. The Town Clerk’s Office is also responsible for publishing notices of public hearings and maintaining the official Town Board minutes.

The Town Clerk is elected to a two-year term by voters from throughout the Town of Mount Hope.

Maintains the Town's Local Law Book and Ordinance Book and serves as a filing officer for official municipal documents.

Licenses & Permits

Processes licenses, permits and other applications assigned to the Town Clerk's Office. Marriage license by appointment only.

Vital Statistics

Serves as Registrar of Vital Statistics for records handled by the Town under New York State requirements.

Town Administration

Performs filing, notification and other statutory duties associated with Town offices and public officers.
